Just a dandelion. They look exactly the same in Denmark as they do in the US. There's somewhat a message about "sameness" in that.

They look the same here too Julianne, but they are such attractive little flowers and make great subjects to photograph. Smile

Very nice shot Julieanne. It's a shame that the center of the flower is slightly blurred. My guess is that you've taken this picture hand-held, and the blur derives from camerashake or possibly the front of the lense being too close for the camera to focus properly. The petals to the left af a bit more crisp and sharp than the in the center and to the right. Maybe you have focussed on the petals to the left without noticing it. Macro-shots are very difficult shots to take, and though many camera's have "macro-setting", it caŽn take some patience and special equipment, as top-of-the-range macro lenses and or a devoted flas for macro-shot to get it completely sharp. When shooting macro, one should always use a tripod, even if the camera in use is a "pocket-camera", as I've said before, when giving critique to other pictures.. although we don't realize it or notice it.. we all shake our hands slightly , and the camera, is a delicate piece of equipment that registers everything even the slightest movement. When shooting macro-shots one should also try to shield the motif from wind that also creates blurred an unsharp pictures, due to the movement of the motif in the wind.

The colurs and the DoF is immaculate. Smile
