| This is the cape vulture, a mean caracter to look at, and when this guy spreads his wings, it's a massive ova 2 meter wingspan. sends shivers down my spine |

Great capture! I understand that these birds are not "pretty" in the traditional sense, but there is a beauty to them. They are necessary. Here we have scavenger birds such as these that were endangered not long ago. When I first moved to this property I was impressed (though shocked) to see turkey vultures cleaning up some road kill. While the image was disturbing (they are not polite eaters) I did get a sense that nature was in order. |
