Old fuel pipe
This old pipe, was used to feed diesel to some very large ferries that sailed between Fyn and Sjælland, the two larges islands of Denmark, until an 18 km bridge was built instead between Nyborg and Korsør.
I'v made it black and white to give the "old feeling", added filmgrain with PhotoShop CS3, and finally a new layer with gaussian blur, where I used the eraser tool to bring out detail at the front of the pipe.

You have turned something quite plain into a very effective abstract, nice work and well thought out.

This is an excellent example of how much of great photography has little or nothing to do with a camera, and more to do with forethought, creativity and vision.

Great shot, which really show the techniques when working with DoF, and also getting a great focus on the actual subject Good to see these shots from you!
