Polish 'Slask'
The Polish 'Slask' TKP 0-8-0T no. 5485 is an odd looking locomotive, a tank engine with small coal unit attached to back of cab. Built in Poland in 1959, this engine is run and maintained on the Nene Valley Railway in Peterborough. This shot shows it backing into Orton Mere Station with a train of passenger carriages.

There is something about steam engines. They are just pure mechanics, and always a thrill to see.

you boys and your trains....LOL Lovely machines really, and there is something about a train from years gone by that is exciting. Maybe its the sense that when we're slightly outdated we'll still be that functional.
