This gull just stayed hovvering over one spot on the pond, which made it easy to catch this shot.

Nah, it may have been easy for you to get. I'm still trying to "get it". I'm sure it will click eventually though.

Cracking shot. Sharp with great DoF. Sadly the gull's body is blown out, I would have used levels i PhotoShop to tone the light down and bring a little more detail. But nonetheless an excellent shot, of very difficult motif.

In my opinion the focus is excellent on the Seagull, and I am afraid that toning down the white would affect other areas of the bird as well. Look at the details of those wings, it's simply stunning, and the background is perfectly blurred out. Beautiful Bev

Thanks Paraman and Darren..i have actually used levels on the shot as the sun was straight down on us highlighting the bird, but you can over do this and the rest of the picture would suffer..i prefer curves to levels for more accurate PP work. Many thanks for EP!

Bev, another fantastic shot...Julianne, no worries...we're in exactly the same boat...as hard as i try to get a gud shot of a bird...well...that good shot jst never is...any1 know where i can get a remote with a pause button???
