Taken once again at waterford, this wonderful trophy to the 'Nasdac open' what ever that is. They make about four or five of these individual trophies and the best is sold to the firm that ordered it.(at many thousands of pounds). Then others are put on display and the mold smashed.

Nasdaq sounds like the stock market to me, so it could be a trophy for best investments and profits Crystal is extremely expensive, which is why we get a plastic cup at VIG

Nice shot Steve. only thing to criticise is the pane of glass you've used to set the crystal trophy on, it creates a little shadow to the rear against the background. I know this is hard to avoid, as you obviously have to shoot the trophy from slightly above to make the shape of the trophy visible. You could try firing a flash from underneath, this should bring out some interesting sparkle reflecting of the crystal an at the same time "hiding" the glass pane. Only other thing is, I'm not quite sure you've used the right WB (White Balance)
Do you shoot RAW or just JPEG? The advantage of RAW is that you can adjust the WB to suit your preferences. This can also be done with JPEG's but RAW is more accurate.
I personally always shoot RAW and JPEG at the same time as my camera has two slots for memorycard one CF and one SD, I store the RAW-files on the CF-card and the JPEG's on the SD-card but I only use JPEG's for printing directly for the camera's pictbridge and only when it's a quick snap for a friend or relative. But even then, in most cases I prefer to edit the RAW-files to my desire and then convert to JPEG. As the screen and my printer are calibrated together, which lets me decide the colour-balance, and thereby, instruct the printer to print as I decide and not to use standard setting, as this often results in color-cast or the printer compensating for colour thus not getting the colours I wanted for the picture. . I know a spectrometer is an expensive peace of equipment, but one you have one, you won't want to live without it. I use Colorvision's PrintFIX PRo Suite. Just a kind word of advise. Keep your good shots coming.
