Great three shots of this amazing bird Abbey. I have seen many pictures of these before but this is the first time I have stopped and studied the shape. This is truly a weird looking creature and the great detail in your pictures allows us a good opportunity to study the detail like the elongated chest feathers and the crest. Great shots Abbey, thanks for sharing. |

That's a great capture Abbey. I've been trying for a very long time to get pictures of these birds, so I can say that I envy you a bit  I did get a few shots of a heron late this summer, but sadly none of them turned out that good.
