Tannery Piers
The piers from a tannery that stood here at least a hundred years ago. This is in Hinkley, NY by the Hinkley Dam. There was such a drought this year that I went up and was able to photograph the piers, the beach, and things that were left behind after the town that stood where the lake is was flattened, the trees cut down, and their stumps partially burned. If I tried to take this picture now that the water level is back up, I would be at least 5 feet underwater.

Interesting piece of history Abbey and well done getting the shot while you could. In years to come when these structures finally erode, pictures like this will be all there is to remember history by
