| Sorry, I didn't know How to categorize this photo. This is a spice store at Bazaar-e-vakil in Shiraz. This ancient shopping mall was built centuries ago and is still in use, although more as a tourist attraction than a place where locals do their day to day shopping. |

This reminds me of the spice stalls I saw in Tunisia. The natural colours of the spices just draw you in and the amazing smell of the turmeric and paprika just do it for me. Just think. In one of those gorgeous copper dishes there is more of one spice than you will find in little jars in half a dozen supermarkets in the UK. Great pic bringing back so many memories for me, the power of photography I suppose. |
