Um No, in fact i was using a 50mm macro lense and 12mm extention tube which makes you have to get within inches of your subject  i had more web over my face than the spider!  |

They are actually quite fascinating these funnel webs, but I wouldn't want to stick my hand down one of them Creepy  Perfect angle Bev, and I like how you managed to capture the spider, waiting inside his castle for his next meal. Great shot! |

I am afraid that just like Julie, you have gone far closer than I would to that thing. Why I am not sure as I am a million times bigger than it. But there you are, I just don't like spiders. |

Eeeek.. Yuckie
I HATE spiders no matter what species. And this picture is not particularly good for an arachnofobic like myself, as the picture, marvelously, gives a great 3D-feeling, that makes you feel much closer til creature.
Extremely well done Bev. I'm glad that there are people like you who can show such an amazing creature in a way that even an aracnhnofobic feels relatively safe.

When i have a camera in my hand il go into places and shoot subjects i wouldnt dream of if i was out on my own, and believe me if a spider runs across my lounge floor (as it has) its my legs and screams that go up first!! |
