My collie "Fisher" was staring out the window when i caught this reflection of the light in his eye.

Now that is a great photo. It does show why Bev is way above the ordinary as a photographer. Bev I tried to post a comment in your guest book yesterday, but there was a problem with it. A really great web site anyway.

Thanks for your kind comments again Steve and Julie. "Fisher" is my husbands dog and my husband along with competeing with Fisher at Crufts level, he is a devoted fisherman, hence "Fisher"! Steve im sorry about the guestbook problem i will look into that today.

That's a very creative shot Bev, and a great level of details. I tried taking close-up pictures of a dog once, but getting the dog to sit still was really something of a challenge as when I sat down in the grass, it wanted to play and started jumping around like a circus but that is what makes it fun as well

Oh believe me i had to take this shot quite a few times to get what i wanted, apart from the fidgeting and licking of the lense! i had to keep saying "Whos that out there" so he would stare out the window hoping to see someone, and "Click" id get the shot hopefully. I had to use the light from the window as i didnt want to use flash, it can damage the retna in the eye if used directly into it.

Another good point Julie, but unfortunately alot of the pro model camera's dont have a turn off noise function, and yes just pointing a camera at certain animals can make them sensitive and jumpy, and you can use a flash but the animal must'nt be looking directly at you when you use it.

Too late! im already but thanks anyway! I think that would be a great idea, either you could compile some questions for me, as sometimes its easier from the photographers side, to ask what they want to specifically find out about a problem they are finding re. photographing an animal, or even a certain topic, ie. Action shots, or photographing a certain coloured dog (black/white) for example, anyway sorry for seaming a bit forward here, im sure you have your own ideas, and whatever they are i will help were ever possible. Just let me know.

Not in the slightest, pleased you want to use it look forward to seeing some examples you do.
