Like Julianne I have tried many times to catch the ones that feed of the plants in my back yard. Whenever I get anywhere near them off they go! I have some new plants now, so when they have grown a bit I will try again.

Dont give up keep trying, they are'nt easy i admit I usually go out late afternoon and sit about 4/6 feet away and just follow one, this one took about 15mins but thats not to say it oesnt depends on the bee, this one was quite slow in its actions yesteray!

Cracking shot, I am with Julie and Steve here - I have also tried to get them in flight, but they tend to be a bit tricky when they are hovering above the flowers. But you are right Bev, we shouldn't give up and one day we might just get that kind of picture. This one is definitely a great inspiration, so perfectly pictured with all the technical details intact. Great shot
