A little bit of colour
Sadly, I am not able to get close enough to the birds in the garden yet as it is so open. This was taken at full zoom on my Fuji 5600, the short zoom on the Nikon is nowhere long enough. Not a great shot but who knows, with the examples on here to inspire, I may get better

I think this is a great shot Paddy. You have managed to bring focus on the most important parts and blur out the rest of the image, and the sharpness speaks for itself. The birds can be hard to get close to, and I would probably have scared it away from that distance Very happy Great shot Wink

You are lucky to get the birds in the garden feeding at all mate! I have tried putting up bird feeders and they just ignore them. Mad A nice photo Paddy, lovely and sharp.

Lol, Julianne, never thought of it that way. However, Mr Greenfinch now brings Mrs Greenfinch to breakfast every morning. Just great to see them chasing the sparrows off so they can get the best table in the house.
