This and many other butterflies were being blown around today in the strong wind, so they held on tight to the long strands of meadow grass.

You always manage to capture these butterflies in all the right angles, that makes them very interesting to study. At the same time the artistic layout using all the right settings makes it even more enjoyable. You are brilliant at this! Perfect shot

Thank you to both of you. I find the best way of capturing expression and facial features is to get down to the subjects level, and that means getting very wet and dirty if its been raining to get good insect and butterfly shots! Julie you have a terrific imagination and matching sense of humour Pole dancing butterflies LOL!

The only good 'butterfly' pictures I have posted so far were taken in the comfort (if that was the right word) of a butterfly house. To get one 'in the wild' must have been very difficult, so congratulations on these.
