German Bunker
The west coast of Denmark is full of these old German Bunkers, which has now become a part of the history in Denmark as some of the remains from World War II. The Germans used most of the bunkers to fight the British Naval Fleet when they came to close to the coastal lines.

Julie thanks for the info, i didnt know this, so its good to have learned something new today. Darren i love this scene, in fact this bunker looks quite modern compared to ours sitting crumbled in fields and on river banks, the cloud formation is beautiful and i also love the angle at which this has been taken bringing my eyes firstly to the entrance, of which i would think many a soldier has walked through. Excellent.

Julie knows a lot of history from Denmark, probably even more than most danes But take a danes beer and Denmark will be ranked as the 2972 most peaceful nation on earth Thanks Julie for adding to the story about the Danish history and a big thanks again for your kind comments

It is indeed a fine picture of something that sadly, still has remains scattered around Europe. Don't you just love that sky though? All I have seen here for weeks have been white or grey skies through the rain........ As for Carlsberg... well we do get our share of it here but we are very careful not to take to much. We have had Viking visitors before and much prefer the friendly ones we have now lol

lol, this is true Paddy - I also go easy on the Carlsberg Tuborg however, is a different matter Always blame it on the beer Julie
