This was taken about a month ago when i visited a wildlife sanctuary, that tries to rehabilitate animals that have been caught/abused and then discarded by man.

They are cute animals to look at, and you have managed to portray that beautifully, and at the same time this photo has raised a good question - why would mankind capture and abuse an animal Sadly some people just don't have respect for animals and the knowledge about animal behaviors, and I really appreciate all the work these sanctuaries are putting into rehabilitating them, so they can be released back into the wild (if possible). I sometimes watch Animal Cops on Animal Planet, and what people will do to animals is just beyond me, but thankfully many people does put a lot of work into giving the animals a proper life in the right environment.
Great capture Bev, and the sharp focus brings out a great expression on the Otter's face

Thanks Darren and Julie for looking and commenting, and your right, mankind is the biggest problem to planet earth in so very many ways im sure we will make ourselves extinct through our own greed and cruelness!
