Harris Hawk
I guess this Harris Hawk wouldn't have mind digging its claws into the jumping trout I posted previously. It looked hungry and was scouting the area for anything to eat.

Way to go!!! this is terrific, your panning and focusing are all coming together to get results as good as this. Firing into very blue skys sometimes makes the subject slightly dark so a tad touching on the highlights/shadows will bring this birds colours out a little more. A HARRIS HAWK as well , what a find, id die to get a shot at one of these magnificent birds in the wild. Well done!

Again a big thanks to you both, and I was very happy to see the Harris Hawk come flying by when we stood there fishing. I put all of your advise into the test Bev, by panning until I had the proper focus and having the settings as close to your advise as I could get them. Finally I got my bird shot, and I had never imagined it would be of the Harris Hawk, but it was a great satisfaction that my first bird photo I got straight was of a beauty of this caliber. I only wished he was a little closer as my zoom wouldn't allow a closer shot, but I will take Julie's suggestion next time, and wear a fish on my head
