| The Grass snake. |

| Another surprise encounter on a walk in the forest, this grass snake made an appearance and went on his way, at least this one isnt poisonous. |

Well spotted Bev. This photo really proofs that we have to keep our eyes and ears open when we are out for a walk. I wouldn't mind getting a capture like this 
Very nice and sharp with a good DOF, and one can really see the textures of its skin. Beautiful! |

It was the rustle of the dry leaves that made me notice it, i was sitting on a log waiting for nesting nuthatches at the time!! i always double check where i hide out now!  |
