Now these guys really do push me to my limits, i have a total fear of them! but whilst i accidentally came upon them 3 days on the trot in the forest i became to respect them, i was in their habitat scaring them.
This adder stopped for a breather so i could get this.

I share your fear of them Bev, but you are absolutely right, being in their habitat we seem to respect them more for who they are, and having a camera with you helps overcome that fear - because who would want to miss a shot like this
I tried it the other day when I came pass a frog, and I really have to admit that I don't feel comfortable around frogs, nevertheless I stopped up to take pictures, of course none of them turned out good, but the point was that the camera helped me overcome my fear
It's a great shot with a great focus that shows a lot of details

Thanks Darren and what you say is so true, the camera does seem to overcome obstacles you would run a mile from if you had'nt got it with you! But this is a good example where a good telephoto lense comes in handy i would'nt of tried it with anything else, these guys can spring at you if really provoked.
