When this Canada Goose turned round i had to take a picture of its feather patterning, i loved the way the feathers set a pattern.

I am still looking for the head of an Indian below it Just kidding, but it's that good captured, and I agree that the pattern is a beautiful sight. I wouldn't want to miss this shot for the world either

Cool shot Bev. looking at the thumbnail, I was wondering what the heck this is. So my interest was woken and I had to open and investigate. And not until the full-size pic had loaded could I see what the picture was about.
Great colours and details, and the sharpness is immaculate.
But then again what could you expect from a Canon camera..
Just to tease you all a bit,I've ordered the new Canon 1D mrk III today. But it will be about 5-6 wks before I get it. And then you'll be getting serious competition Bev. With my new studio-gear, and when I get my new camera, I'm gonna give you a run for your money

LOL!! a great camera indeed Paraman, and is this fighting talk!! well you have 5 or 6 weeks to get out there and study your subjects that your gonna take amazing pictures with with this new camera! I have been saving for the 1Ds (other than remortgaging the house)!! now that is a big gun!

Exactly Julianne,at last someone who realises the real reason to photography, we can all have the best possible cameras, kits, etc etc and still want more, you often or not see photographers walking round, or should i say dragging around huuuge! great camera bags with everything in it, these are the folk who are labelled "All the gear but no idea"folk, ok, i have to agree there are certain items of camera gear that does enhance and help dramatically to capture your subject of choice, but its like everything else in this world, the real reason why we do it. I still have my Fuji S7000 and love going out with this little gem, but for exhibitions and photography shoots people want even bigger prints than ever now, so cameras with more pixels etc and are needed. But when things go wrong with my pictures i always remind myself, "Never blame your tools".

"All the gear but no idea", that's actually a brilliant quote If people can't be creative, a $4000.00 camera won't get them far anyway. A small amount of photography is based on equipment, and I have to agree with Julie and Bev that having the most fancy equipment isn't what make people good photographers. It's all about putting and heart and soul into what you do, and spice it up with a little creativity now and then. Photography is about challenging yourself and allowing yourself to become better for each day that passes by, I also believe that is what makes it fun as well - and I can have just as much fun and have just as many challenges with a $159.00 camera than with a $4000.00 camera. Just my 10 cents

I think you will find that Paraman is getting a Fuji, he has always lusted after mine. You only have to ask Paraman, now I have my Nikon

Thanks Paddy. What made you go to Nikon? i have a fuji S7000 and wish id got an fuji SLR but at the time there was'nt such a choice with Fuji, but i dont think you can beat image quality.
