Canada Goose as Poetry in Motion.
I took this whilst on holiday recently, i can spend ages watching the Canada Geese taking off and landing on the river, they really are quite relaxing.

Canada Geese are amazing to look at. Like the swan they are heavy and require a large wingspan to takeoff, and with this weight one should think they would fall as rock when they landed. You have illustrated so beautifully how smooth the landing really is, and I really like you managed to capture how it is skiing across the surface. Outstanding!

Nice motion-shot. I would have used a slightly shorter shutter-speed to add more sharpness to the goose and at the same time maintain some of the motion in the wings and water. Smile Motion shots like this one are always hard, because you have to pan with the subject at the same speed, as the subject is moving with to keep focus at the same spot. This is extremely difficult.

Thanks Paraman, if i had of used a lower shutter speed the goose would probably of been even more blurred, the light was very low and the 100-400L isnt a fast lense, so then you have compensate with ISO settings, i think it gives certain wildlife subjects more natural definition when the subject has motion blur and not always sharp throughout.
