Even Chip has his off days, even new blossom on his tree couldnt put a smile on his face.

This is a lovely shot. You have this knack with birds and animals for that matter of just catching unusual expressions.

Thanks Steve, it comes with lots and lots of practice mixed with alot of patience and respect for the subject.

What a beautiful shot, if Chip saw this image he might be very proud, and maybe it would make him less grumpy It's a perfect scene with a great set of colors and a perfect DOF. Great shot Bev!

Poor chip, it looks as if he wasn't in the mood for modelling that day. Very well-composed shot with great colours. I wouldn't mind a little more sharpness, possibly a slightly shorter shutter-speed. 1/90 is fairly slow at 150mm.
In order to get really sharp shots one should always use a shutter-speed equivalent to your focal-length or preferably even shorter i.e. Focal-length =150 mm Shutter-speed = 1/160 sec.
Indeed, buried within one of Ansel Adams' books, he suggests that with a normal lens and a handheld camera, a shutter speed of anything less than 1/250th second may produce less than a completely sharp image. Source: www.enginova.com /> But still a great shot. Keep them coming.

Thanks Paraman for your feedback, with big lenses and handheld you have to use a shutter speed equivalent to your max focal length, anything under and you will 80% of time get blurred shots, definately if i was using my 100-400L and used anything under 250 when wide open id have to have hands of steel to get a completely sharp image, thats when tripods come in handy, but because i dont like lugging one through bushes and ditches etc, i handhold all the time.
