As creepy as it may be, the details of this shot are just amazing. It's shows nature and how it really works - acting on instincts and survival. Beautifully illustrated Bev, and the focus and DOF are just spot on. Perfect shot and shows a great eye for details and timing from the person behind the camera

I only started macro photography a couple of months back and its opened a whole new perspective to photography for me, i call it entering the little world, down on the ground, head in bushes etc getting the finest of details of your subject that you would otherwise ignore, or even tread on!

Another brilliant photo Bev. It is great to see some new photographers in the blogs and we could do with more like you.

Thank you so much Julianne and Steve263 again your commen ts are very much appreciated. Since i have been doing more macro work all the little fears of spiders and creepy crawlies have been put into perspective, they are much more scared of us than we are of them. I have even put my biggest fear of snakes aside to photograph our adders and grass snakes, and i was petrified of them. (To be honest they still give me the shivers) but the key element is respect, respect them and you will be rewarded!

I am not fond of the spiders, I have to admit that but then again I am not scared of them either, and for macro photos they do make perfect subjects, especially when they are caught in the act as this photo illustrates so brilliantly.
Though the blog system is still very new, I agree that it would be great to see many more participate to help build a new branch of learning, a place to be inspired, a place that helps photographers to sell their photos, and at the same time a place that can help photographers to connect a bridge between their websites and the big outside world. The more exposure the better, and I, like all of you, hope to see more take advantage of it, and at the same it's fun and we get to know some nice and interesting people not to mention it's free and unlimited.
