| The Kingfisher |

| This was taken at a local lake i visit, the kingfisher rested for a while on the bullrush. |

I did manage to come across a King Fisher once, but of course I didn't have a camera at that time. It's a small but very colorful bird equipped with a weapon of a beak which is perfect for catching the fish it eats. You really managed to portray all of this extremely well Bev, and the colors and contrast of this photo are just superb. Brilliant shot! |

This one has a partner and are nesting quiting happily, im hoping to go and check them out this weekend, they are stunning little birds with big hearts.  |
