Another of the beautiful butterflies in Longleat. This time I have cropped the photo to bring more of the detail out.

They are amazing creatures to capture. The colors from these beauties really turns a photo into a piece of art
With our new right click feature we can now pull out the EXIF data from photos which have these data embedded, and I can see you have used an ISO setting of 200. I would probably have used a lower ISO setting as you did for your Parrot shot (ISO 50) to make the subject appear more sharp, and at the same time I would have used a longer exposure, to blur out some of the background. Still it is a great shot. I noticed you managed to capture one "in flight" at your website. That's my next assignment I am going to try it where the butterfly is outside captivity, which I am sure will keep me busy for the next 50 years You gotta love those butterflies. Thanks for sharing Steve.

The camera was on the 'auto' setting for all of the pics and the butterfly house was inside in a VERY warm place. There is no time to change settings, as they were not sitting there waiting for me!

I know you have to be fast. I was only making suggestions on what may improve the outcome before taking shots like these, based on my own experiences. Just friendly advise

Darren, I took no offence at all. I am not big headed enough to think that any photo that I take could not be improved.
Look out for some info on a new camera soon!
