Got to agree with Darren on this. Any chance you can share your secrets on this type of picture Yckhong? Do you work out the exposure or do you let the camera decide... Nikon D50.. my target for this year
yckhong
This kind of picture must use small aperture, low ISO. It is good to use slow shutter as well if you would like to capture the fireworks tail motion... Of course timing is another challenge for this kind of picture
yckhong
Well, D50 is enough for normal use (entry-level), just go for higher-end model (eg:d70s, d80, or above) if it's affordable...
Darren
The timing is a big challange as the explosion is all over in a split of a second, still you manage to capture them in a beautiful way
Thanks for providing the additional information
Paddy
Thanks for the feedback Yckhong. Sadly I will be pushing it to get the D50 as the budget is tight. Keeping my eye on the new D40 as well as it is only 50GBP more but then again, the D50 could drop in price as well before it goes off the market. From what I have seen a lot of reviews don't make me want the D40 over the older D50
