| In The Nene Park, Ferry Meadows on the outskirts of Peterborough there are many sculptures in wood like this one. This depicts a Roman soldier holding a fish. Roman remains of military and farming have been found within the park. Further along the river Nene, there was extensive Roman occupation and it was here that some of the finest Roman pottery was made in England |
