This old building on the river Nene has been incorporated into a modern industrial unit. However, the origins of the older part of the building can be seen in the many bricked up windows and the tunnel that went underneath for the cargo barges to pass under the building for loading/offloading. There is a wall built across this opening now. It is well worth looking at buildings like this to see traces of their past.

I agree. You can learn a lot by studying buildings like these, and they always have somekind of story which makes them very special. Thanks for the detailed description and sharing another great shot.
