This is not meant to be a picture as such, it is to demonstrate the sort of thing that can be done with stitching software. In this case, Serif PanoramaPlus 2 was used to join 15 pictures (represented by the grid) to build a wide angle image that would not have been possible just with the camera. The strong curvature could have been reduced or eliminated by moving the camera parallel to the wall. In this event all 15 pics were taken hand held from the same spot. Just to demonstrate that ‘Panorama’ software isn’t just for letterbox format views

Thanks for the heads up on this Paddy. I have really never tried panorama photography, even though I have always found these kind of photos quite facinating. I am used to the good old slim vertical layout and didn't know you could do it using a 4:3 format. But it sure does leave some ideas open for the creative mind. Nice work!

So Paddy. at last you have found a panoramic view you like. I think that we will be seeing more of this from you. A very interesting photo.

Thanks Steve, should have mentioned it was you that sent me down the mad road of the panorama . The ability to stitch both vertical and horizontal opens up many ideas, especially with historical buildings where the space is tight. My camera only goes down to about 38mm equivalent so wide shots are not possible. With a bit of care, software like this will open up many possibilities.
