Harvest Moon
I got up at 6am today, and this bright moon was shining outside. The picture is obviously not as good as some as it does not show the surface. After all I only have a 10x zoom! However, I did think it was worth the shot, as most times it is covered in cloud.

Hi Steve, i would suggest lower the exposure to about 1/500 and keep a low iso. Also set your camera to no focus. Good luck :)

Conor has it right Steve, it's down to the exposure. My Moonshot was also taken on a 10x zoom. I left the exposure on auto but with the amount of black with such a bright disk of light in the middle, it will get confused. I dropped my exposure compensation to it's lowest (about -2 stops I think). Focus on mine is a problem even though it has manual focus, it's near impossible to use in these situations but infinity is needed, try landscape mode if this is a problem. My pic was shot in RAW as I knew that it would need to be cropped down, my original has the moon the same size as yours. In Photoshop I tweaked the contrast and levels a little to bring up as much detail as possible after I had cropped it. Keep playing, it is possible Wink
