Amazing shot ParaMan. You managed to capture everything in this image. Even though he is not looking directly into camera, it is still a 6 star! Great shot.
Conor
Great shot! The eyes are sharp which means alot in these shots!

This, and the one of your wife ParaMan are great examples of studio portraiture. Pin sharp well exposed and well lit without being fussy

Thank you all, for your kind comments. I really try hard to get the best out of , what I learned at photographer-college. And as I gain more and more experience I'm sure my pictures will get better, alongside me getting better equipped than I am at present.

I would be interested to know what you mean by 'better equipped' ParaMan. A single softbox and a good eye (which you obviously have) and, as Conor mentioned on your Lone post, experimenting with angles is all you need. A cheap addition would be a small slave flash to put behind your subject to either light the background or rim light the hair. The flash units that fit on top of a camera are fine for this. The quality of these images is of a very high standard so your camera is more than enough. Have you tried doing some post editing to soften skin but keep hair and eyes sharp? easy once you get to grips with it

Thanks for your advice Paddy, actually. I had 1 flash-unit lighting the background and one to rim light the hair. But the flash-units I have for background and hair-lighting are chep low quality, but HEY.. I'm married.. so that why I don't have better gear
