I believe you can learn a lot about a person and what's in their heart by the photos they take. I'm not a professional, and I'm still learning about lighting and camera settings, but I always go for something interesting or poetic, that tells a story or makes one pause to reflect on the bigger picture.
As a writer, the story or emotion of a picture is what appeals to me so I don't have a particular subject I tend to focus on. I like diversity in life, and I hope my photoblog reflects that.
It is my goal to show people that you can get some pretty amazing shots with a common digital camera (which is what most households have) and the right digital photo editing software. I'm the typical American hobby photographer so I don't feel the need to buy professional grade equipment.
My photos are edited with Visualizer Photo FX. It's not cheating, it's enhancing! :o)
