For a while now I have had FF freeze on me now and again completely. All I can do is shut down the computer with the 'on' button. I cannot even use control/alt/delete. I have only just found the reason, and that is one site. This one would you believe. I have been over it time and again, and the only site I get problems with is this one.
Right now I have gone to IE7 to put this in. Is there a problem with Visualizer and FF? Because this is one of my favourite site, and FF is my favourite brower. Has anyone got a clue about this?

Have to say Steve that Firefox was always the browser I used on Windows and occasionally on the iMac (Safari is my preferred browser now even though there are a few formatting issues). I never had any problems with Firefox locking up anywhere but I do read IT forums on our works intranet and there have been quite a few issues recently on later versions of Firefox.
A lot of people have been complaining of it locking up and losing favourites, something I never experienced. Have you downloaded an update or a plugin recently that might not be working properly? It appears., from what I have read, that it isn't a real problem with Firefox but for some reason updates do not work properly. It may be worth downloading the latest version, un-installing the old version and re-installing the new one rather than updating 'over the top' of the current one. It is odd that it only plays up on VIG but from past postings, I know that Darren is very dedicated to meeting browser standards. Sadly we are entering a time when browsers are going it alone, Internet Explorer by Microsoft never respected the W3 standards. Hope you get it resolved mate. |

Is it locking up when you first start it (do you have Visualizer as your home url?)....
I am also wondering if you have an active X plug in that is malfunctioning (like flash) that needs to be reinstalled or updated. I had this similar issue with another site, but only because I needed to update my active x plugins. It's a plug in issue I believe, one way or another. |

Well I keep on installing the latest edititions of FF, and no I do not have Viz as my home page. However, I have found the way around and that is simply to use IE when I come here. Uninstalling and reinstalling just for one site does not see worth the bother so I will just use old IE for now anyway. When FF 3 comes in fully I will uninstall FF and reinstall that.
