Well, answereing your second question is actually easier than the first. An ActiveX control is simply a control that is registered with Windows. For example, the links on the page, the text box for the reply at the bottom, and the back button on your browser are all ActiveX controls. Yahoo Messenger has many custom Activex controls that are registered with your computer when you install the program. Often times parts of IM programs, because they deal with a complicated text streaming system, are marked as spyware or adware or trojans by detection systems. There is no need to worry, this is probably a false alarm. But now that this part is gone, every time the IM client tries to run, it doesn't work. You don't need to worry about the error message; $imbody is a name given to part of the memory in your computer. Yahoo tries to access the ActiveX control for the main chat area and store it here temporarily so that it can use the ActiveX control in the program but it can't. Since a file is now corrupt or missing, you should uninstall Yahoo Messenger and then reinstall it, or if you see a repair option when you start to uninstall it try that first. This should replace the file (and get you the newest version, an added bonus!). Let me know if this doesn't work.

Thanks, Darren. Just trying to be as good at support as you!
uberfreakinradd, if you have any more questions or you did not get something that I said, just post it here. Also, if you need any help reinstalling Yahoo Messenger or that does not solve the problem, let me know. Have fun IMing! ![]()

Same circumstances for me and I cannot figure it out. I have tried all re-downloading Yahoo etc. But no luck. I get the following script errors:
Line: 32 Char: 1 Error: Not enough storage is available to complete this operation Code: 0 URL: file:///C:/Program%20Files/Yahoo!/Messenger/TMPIMV1.tmp Line: 2582 Char: 2 Error: '$imbody' is undefined Code: 0 URL: file:///C:/Program%20Files/Yahoo!/Messenger/TMPIMV2.tmp Line: 2497 Char: 3 Error: 'YMSGR' is undefined Code: 0 URL: file:///C:/Program%20Files/Yahoo!/Messenger/TMPIMV2.tmp Quote:
