Hey, jingles! The thing that will most help is meta tags.

Code:
<meta name="keywords" CONTENT="captain, koala, captain koala, captainkoala, ck, blog, news, portfolio, chat, web, design, webdesign, graphic, design, graphics, graphic design, php, scripts"> <meta name="description" CONTENT="Playground of CaptainKoala"> <META NAME="robots" CONTENT="INDEX,FOLLOW">

Those are obviously mine. I think it's kind of self explanatory.

Unfortunately the search engine robots can't scan Flash files for content, which makes a site built entirely on flash difficult to rank. To improve overall search rankings on Google, Yahoo, MSN ones website must be text based and as Cpt. said have the proper meta setup. Also worth mentioning is, if one create subpages which are not index pages, make sure to name the page that relates to the actual content in the page.

True, I think if you were to create an open page that was free of flash, you could perhaps up your ranking there as well. This is a good question though as I will be needing some of that info as well soon.

Make sure a lot of people link back to you your rank will sky rocket and as you do here, adding a link to your sig is also a great thing.
Optimizing ones pages is only half the job, making sure the site gets plenty of exposure is the second half, in terms of sharing links and frequently adding fresh content to ones site.
