Well, I am in a festive posting mood. So here is a list of what games I own and play as of Stardate 06:2004
  • MVP Baseball 2003 - This I play all the time. I am in franchise mode, and on the 3rd year. Go Yankees!
  • Sudden Strike & addon - Havent played this in a long time. Kind of like Commandos with a little different feel.
  • Ghost Recon & Desert Siege addon - Havent played this in a long time either. Almost time to give it to the nephews. They get all the old games.
  • American Conquest - A really cool turn based game feel with C&C gameplay. I like this a lot.
  • Cossacks European Wars - Same as American Conquest, just a different time period. I like this a lot too.
  • Medal Of Honor Allied Assualt - Cool while I played it. I dont care for the Multiplayer mode though. Just too fast and unrealistic for me.
  • Battlefield 1942 and Road to Rome - Same genre as MOHAA. A little better for Multiplayer, but can have the same effect of being unrealistic.
  • NBA Live 2003 - Play this when I get in the mood. Which is usually around NBA season time. Which is now.
  • Command & Conquer Generals & Zero Hour - C&C started the PC gaming for me. This series is usually a buy everytime a new version comes out. I love the build em up and crush em scenerio that this game employs. Spent many-a-days playing this. LOL
  • Call of Duty - A really cool game, about the same type as MOHAA. I dont really care for the online part here either. Same reason
  • Unreal Tournament 2004 - Just got this about a month ago. I usually dont buy into the UT craze, but I have a bunch of friends who play it online, so I thought I would get it to play with them every so often. Oh, I have a match tonight. I better get back to work and get something done before gametime.
  • Americas Army - This I play ALL the time. This is my all time favorite. And its what, FREE! Oh yes it is! :great:
  • *Grand Theft Auto III - I got hooked on these from the first version on. They keep getting better.
  • *Grand Theft Auto - Vice City - This one is probably even better. The storylines are really good for a game of this type.

I just recently purchased No Man's Land. This is a very cool western strategy game. I saw it at a friends house and decided I just couldn't live without this one

Here's what they wrote

America is yours for the taking. From colonizing the East to settling the Wild West - give it your best shot! Step into the role of a Spanish conqueror, Englishman, Native American, patriot, or settler and experience six thrilling adventures where you'll encounter countless eccentric personalities determined to put a bullet through your head. … Show them who's boss. Use special forces or bounty hunters, or rely on your wits alone to get your enemies before they get you.

Screen Shot and Game info provided by CDV.

"Stardate 06:2004" lol. We're too geeky.

I only play a few games, but they's good!
  • Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction - greatest online r.t. strategy game ever
  • The Sims Online - primarily for advertising purposes and the occasional cheap thrill (Darren, I could glady advertise for you )
  • Max Payne - no more needed
  • Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time - awesomeness reigns supreme
  • Rollercoaster Tycoon (when it works <_< )
  • Journeyman Project 3: Legacy of Time - good game in general
  • Myst/Riven/Exile/Uru - only the greatest game saga ever

Have some screenshots of me in D2:

Me standing there

Me casting Armageddon before all the evil Scarab Beetles came

Me causing mass death and destruction upon the Scarabs

Me at the Arcane Sanctuary after killing the Summoner!

Wow, that was like a vacation slide show!

LOL, yea you just need a t-shirt that says,

"CaptainKoala destroyed all these demons at the depths of hell, and all I got was this stupid shirt!" And you would be made.

I thought you would like the stardate reference too.

Thanks Doofynz, nice to hear of something new that I havent seen before.

I have downloaded a demo of No Mans Land that Darren mentioned, and I am going to try it out later this week.
I am a sucker for these types of games, so I couldnt resist looking at it.

One demo game I did try just recently was called Silent Storm. AGAIN, links to follow whe I get home, srry LOL.

I liked the overall look of the game. Graphics where cool. The storyline seemed cool too. WW2 type of game
and something like commandos.

Unfortunately, the gameplay was not all the great. It starts you off with a team of 4-5 people, cant remember which. And you have one person who is a doctor, and the others are specialists in different weapons. Then you have to take an objective by using each persons special traits appropriately. The scene is much larger scale then commandos because the people are not as small as in that game. What is a pain is that as the game is turn based, sometimes in the middle of your turn, there will be an enemy popping up next to one of your guys/gals and just mow them down, and you never even saw them coming. It makes the idea of turn base much harder, and IMHO, not as fun.

Also, when choosing your teamates in the nav screen, many of times you will choose functions that you didnt mean to, or a function you cant get out of for some reason.

There is a lot to like about the game. It has some unique features and the graphics are cool. Overall though, the gameplay is too eratic, and the idea has been out in the game world for quite some time already so its sort of overplayed as it is.

I give it 2 out of 5 thumbs up :great: :great:

I've seen Vega$ make it big before. A good list of cheap games can be found at G4techTV forums, VMIB included.

Ah yes, two late addins for gamez. I forgot I let a friend borrow these, and just got them back today.

I have:

*Grand Theft Auto III
*Grand Theft Auto - Vice City

these two were games I played a lot when I first got them. They are really cool and fun to mess around in.
They lose their luster after a couple of weeks though. Their is only so much fun you can have blowing stuff up
and carjacking.

Oh wait, that is a lot of fun. What am I thinking? (w00t)

I don't know what you're thinking! I can't wait for GTA: San Andreas. It's going to be multiplayer, what kind of multiplayer, I don't know, it's probably going to be online though.
