Default Linking Web Albums to web site

Hi guys, I need help. Yes I know that this has been said before about me but this time the help I need is not medical….

Anyway, I am re building my web site that used to be based around building dolls house furniture into a photography first site. I have web building software that I am happy with that has it’s own gallery builder that I am not happy with.

As VIG software has great web gallery (album) creating features built into Photo Studio and even the free Photo Resize package, I want to use it.

The question is, and please accept that I know nothing about web page creation outside of WYSIWYG editors, how do I link the Web Album created using VIG software to my web site?

When I FTP my files to my Host, I have a folder into which all the HTML pages go. My builder software creates two sub folders which contain the image files generated when I ‘publish’ my site to disk prior to uploading.

The Web album software produces the ‘Skins’ folder and the jpeg and html files. Do these go into the main HTML folder on my Host or do they need to be in a subfolder?

The second question is. If I create a Gallery (Album) for each subject I want, such as one for Landscapes, one for Portraits etc, each time I generate a new Album will it not produce files with the same name? If so, how do I get round this so I can add separate albums to my web site?

If there is a tutorial that covers this that I have missed then a gentle shove in the right direction would be appreciated.

Anyone interested, the bare bones are at www.bearsandhouses.co.uk it has no content as yet as I was trying out the gallery software that is built into my editor….. It doesn’t work.

Any comments (honest ones please) would be appreciated as you can see, I am not a designer but I don’t want to build it around the templates.

Thanks in anticipation
