Well, here is my take. I have only used it very very little. I have used GoLive 6 while I was in school, only because this is what they had.

BUT, everyone I have talked to about using a website developing program, has stated that Dreamweaver was the professional way to go.
I guess it writes code cleaner and is just more powerful. I dont know first hand.

I also have that software, and will soon be using it for a website that I have to work on. So if I can figure out how it works (with my trusty books that I bought to go along with it), I will let you know how I like it and how it stacks up against GoLive and MS Frontpage. I can already tell you that I dont care for Frontpage at all. It is just too..., well..., Microsofty.

That is the technical term of the day:

Microsofty - def. 1) when one piece of said software is bloated, writes bad code, and is just plain a pain in the neck to use.
2) too expensive for its real purpose and not meant to be in the hands of real users.
