I was playing around with Visualizer Photo FX to see if there were ways to remove over exposure from my photos, rather than Light Correction and Remove Light. The Light Correction will do the trick on highlighted areas, but not the complete image, and the Remove Light setting may darken colors to a level that you may not be able to fade into your image.

Here's another an easy way you may want to consider when fixing over exposed areas in an image. Use the Desaturate button to convert your image into monochrome. Then save the image as your original file name, but add the following to the file name "_mask". Once you have saved your image, bring up the Photo Masks and click on the Load button. Locate where you saved your mask and open it. Click the OK button to apply the Photo Mask, and use the Fade FX option to mix it with your original layout.

I just play around and try out new combinations I haven't tried before Sometimes it pays off, and sometimes it doesn't. However, I got lucky this time
