Default visualiser site question

Darren, i tried to private message you but it wont let me so i'll post my question in here and if its sensitive you know my email address

Im sure youve noticed but i may not post too many images of late but im still lurking around here

I have a question about your awesome website here, underneath the photos there is a nice little row of links inviting people to blog it, digg it, delicious etc etc, was this something youve created or was it a little plugin from somewhere ? im interested in getting this onto my website in some form. Also on the main page theres a google, yahoo, mas bookmark thingy thats similar. im not asking you to give away your cool programming secrets though but is this something thats easy to do?

Graham

It was something I made to help bring even more exposure to all the great photos found at the photo blogs It is not hard to make as all it requires is tweaking the links. I'll show you here how it is done

Code:
http://digg.com/submit?phase=2&url=[Insert the url you want to digg]&topic=[Select the topic]&title=[Add the title]&bodytext=[Add the description]

As you can see, the digg url is divided into small attributes which allow you to add your own content to the url. The same goes for the rest of the urls found beneath a photo at the photo blogs. Right click to copy the link and change the attributes to make it match the content of your site. Save the icons and upload them to your website. Within your webpage(s) direct each one of them to the correct url with the correct content included.

That's it
I hope this will get you started.

http://digg.com/submit?phase=2&url=

Is this initial part of the code the same for all the websites you use or is this something i would need toinvestigate with each website i try and add ?

No, all urls are have separate links. Let me show you what the Stumble Upon link looks like.

Code:
http://www.stumbleupon.com/submit?url=[Insert the Stumble Upon url]&title=[Add the title]&topicid=[Change this to the correct category, or use 302 for photos]&newcomment=[Add the description]&adult=0

When you right click on one of the icons, you can copy the links and paste them into any text editor. As you can see the Stumble Upon link is different from the Digg it link, and some attributes are named differently (such as newcomment in Stumble Upon link, which is named bodytext in the Digg it link).

When it comes to the Stumble Upon link I clicked on the Stumble Upon Icon so I could check the ID for the category that matched the content (right clicked and viewed the source, and located the ID number for ie. photos). Replace the X with ID in the following Stumble Upon attribute
Code:
topicid=X

I hope this was easy enough to understand, and I hope it will come in handy for you
Have fun
